Kent's Gemma Arterton has won a top award at last night's GQ awards.

The Gravesend-born Bond actress was hailed as woman of the year at the prestigious ceremony.

It comes a day after she shimmied down the red carpet for the UK premiere of new British comedy 'Tamara Drewe'.

One scene in the movie sees her wearing a tight red top and denim hotpants.

She has also appeared as MI6 agent Strawberry Fields in the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace and has starred alongside the likes of Colin Firth in St Trinian's and Dartford actor Mackenzie Crook in comedy Three and Out.
