Gravesend were unfortunate to lose 20-3 at National 3 London & South East leaders Dorking on Saturday.

Dave McMurtrie missed two early penalties as Gs dominated the first half before finally taking the lead through a Chris Meddings kick.

Dorking levelled early in the second half and went 8-3 up with a Ross Grimstone try.

Mike Terelak touched down the hosts’ second score, converted by Steve Mumford, as Dorking took charge.

Gs lost Meddings and Jamie Forsyth to the sin-bin within a minute and the hosts made the most of their two-man advantage with Terelak’s second try making sure of the victory.

The defeat leaves Gravesend 11th in the table.
