Gravesend finished their first season in National League 3 London & South East with a sixth-place finish after a 99-0 thrashing of North Walsham.

Tom Goss scored the first of his side’s 14 tries with less than three minutes on the clock, but a point-less 15 minutes that followed ultimately stopped Graves reaching the 100-point mark.

Dave Dorton’s penalty ended the barren spell to increase the score to 10-0 and Ian Harman, Ashley Moorey, Goss and Curley all touched down to give Graves a 38-0 advantage at the break.

There was no end-of-season feel to the second half as, instead, Graves up the pressure. Goss claimed his hat-trick try after good work by hooker Terry Papworth and Adam Bishop and Dorton increased the punishment on their visitors.

Matt Clement combined with his brother Jon to score the next try, and Gary Gray then crossed the line unopposed. Jon Clement joined his brother on the scoresheet soon afterwards and Papworth added to the tally after good work by Moorey.

Gray took full advantage of a disrupted scrum for his second score and Sox Stevens combined with both Clement brothers to outwit the defence before Matt Clement rounded off the try count with his second score of the afternoon.
