Gravesham remembers

Gravesham will fall silent for two minutes next Friday as people remember those who have died fighting for their country.

A Remembrance Day service will take place in Community Square outside the Civic Centre in Gravesend on Friday, November 11.

A minute’s silence will take place at 11am followed by a service with music performed by the Salvation Army Band.

Those wishing to take part are asked to gather from 10.45am.

On Sunday, November 13 there will be a Remembrance service at the war memorial in Windmill Hill, Gravesend, from 10.45am.

Gravesend Borough Band will play and Clarence Place in Gravesend will be closed from 10am until noon for the service.

There will also be a service at the war memorial in The Hill from 10.45am with the Salvation Army Band.
