Hundreds gathered to pay tribute to 17-year-old Jamie Gooda, who was killed in a road traffic accident.

His devastated family were joined by other tearful mourners at the teenager’s funeral which was held at St George’s Church in Gravesend on Friday.

In a mark of love and respect for Jamie, nicknamed Lil Gooda, a convoy of mopeds escorted the hearse as it made its way to the church.

Jamie died when his moped and an HGV collided on the A2, Watling Street, Singlewell, on Friday, June 13, at 10.20pm.

Ambulance crews tried to save Jamie, but he later died at Darent Valley Hospital of his injuries.
