Police appeal for witnesses to fire in Beechwood Drive, Meopham

A masked man was spotted near a home which is then believed to have been set alight in Meopham.

The fire caused substantial damage to two cars and a house in Beechwood Drive at around 4am on Saturday, February 9.

It is understood that there were no serious injuries.

Detectives are treating the fire as suspicious and are seeking witnesses to the incident as a man was seen at the property.

The suspect is described as a white man, of medium build and was wearing a navy blue puffer jacket, black gloves, a black balaclava, dark blue tracksuit bottoms and light coloured trainers.

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or has information that could help with inquiries is asked to call Kent Police on 01634 792209 quoting reference 09-0549.
