Inquest opens into death of young musician Tashan Larmond-Maginn found in Shorne Woods Country Park

An inquest has opened into the death of a young musician found in woodland near Gravesend.

Aspiring artist Tashan Larmond-Maginn was discovered at Shorne Woods Country Park by a police officer on April 20.

The 26-year-old, of Alfred Place, Northfleet had been reported missing days earlier and an appeal to find him was launched.

An inquest into his death was opened today by Alan Blunsdon, the assistant coroner for north Kent, during a hearing in Maidstone.

It heard identification of Mr Larmond-Maginn's body was carried out by an officer who attended the woodlands.

They were able to confirm his identity through a comparison with a Facebook image and a tattoo on both of his hands, described to the court as an "all-seeing eye".

The inquest heard Mr Larmond-Maginn was single at the time of his death and was a young musician and video producer.

The body of Tashan Larmond-Maginn was found in Shorne Woods Country Park.

A medical cause of death was given as hanging.

The full inquest has been adjourned until August 5.
