Danniella Westbrook has had her Twitter account hacked, leaving fans concerned over her wellbeing.

The ex-EastEnders actress from Greenhithe posted a series of bizarre tweets which claimed she was pregnant and hospitalised after a relapse with drug addiction.

Hackers posted fake photographs showing a positive pregnancy test and an image of the star with a bloodied nose.

The caption read: "I am covering my nose because it is falling apart AGAIN because of my relapse."

The actress returned to the social networking site today to slam the claims and said the alleged hacker is trying to ruin her life.

Danniella, although denying the rumours about her drug addiction and pregnancy, did confirm that she was rushed to hospital with a blood infection.

She wrote: "I have an infection in my blood and I'm very poorly! I have been in hospital YES!"

The star then posted a photo with 24-year-old boyfriend, George Arnold, to prove it was in fact her on the account.

Kent Police is now investigating the hacking as part of a wider investigation into harassment claims made by the 42-year-old.

A spokesperson said: "Kent Police received a report of harassment on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. To date, various enquiries have been made by the local policing team and the informant who made the report has been kept up to date throughout the investigation.

"Officers are continuing to make enquiries."

In the meantime, Danniella has deactivated her Twitter account.
