Gravesend man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after road collision

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was airlifted to hospital after sustaining a head injury.

Police was called at 9.55am on Sunday, May 13, to a report of a road traffic collision involving a car and a woman in Dering Way, Gravesend.

At 10.07am a car was also reported to be on fire in Dering Way.

Officers attended along with Kent Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service, where a woman was airlifted to a London hospital with a head injury which is not believed to be life threatening.

A man from Gravesend and who is known to the injured woman, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in custody.
