Man dies in wrong-way crash near Bluewater

A 75-year-old has died in a crash after being struck by a car travelling in the wrong direction along the B255 near Bluewater.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the accident on Saturday evening.

It's believed a red Jeep was travelling the wrong way down the busy road at around 10.40pm. It is said to have hit the blue Rover driven by the victim, which was heading in the right direction.

The injured man died at the scene. The man driving the Jeep was taken to Darent Valley hsopital with serious injuries.

The man who died has not yet been named.
