Robbers knock man unconscious and steal cash and watch in Crete Hall Road, Northfleet

A man was knocked unconscious and robbed in the street after trying to fight off his attackers.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was walking along Crete Hall Road in Northfleet when a gang of four approached him and demanded money.

He tried to fight back but was pushed to the ground before being hit on the head by an unknown object, leaving him unconscious.

While he was laying defenceless on the ground, the group stole his watch and cash before fleeing.

He was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The incident happened between 8pm and 9.35pm on Saturday, but details have only just been released as police launch an appeal for witnesses.

All suspects have been described as aged between 20 and 30 years old with a tanned complexion.

One suspect is described as 5ft 9ins with short black "cornrow" style hair and was wearing a grey Nike tracksuit.

The second suspect is described as 6ft 2ins, of stocky build and with short black hair. He was wearing a black Ralph Lauren tracksuit and had a tattoo with the word Mum on the left side of his neck.

The third suspect is described as 5ft 7ins with black shoulder length hair which was in dreadlocks. He was also reported to have been wearing a black tracksuit.

There is no further description for the fourth suspect.
