Man taken to hospital after falling off footbridge in Huntley Avenue, Northfleet

A man suffered serious injuries after falling off a railway line footbridge yesterday evening.

It is believed the man, 49, fell from the bridge and then down an embankment close to the railway lines below.

The bridge in Huntley Avenue, Northfleet, is not far from both Northfleet station and Ebbsfleet International.

It is not currently known what injuries he sustained from the incident but he was taken to treatment at King's College Hospital in London.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 6.50 and were there for an hour. Police also attended.
