Police investigate after masked men attempt Co-operative cash machine break-in in Station Road, Longfield

Police are investigating after two masked men armed with an angle grinder and a sledgehammer tried to break open a supermarket cash machine.

The men were recorded on CCTV raiding the Co-op store in Station Road, Longfield.

An officer patrolling the area noticed a window had been smashed and damage had been caused to the cash machine inside the building, although nothing was stolen.

The raid happened shortly after midnight on Thursday, December 8, but details have only just emerged.
