Men charged with possessing handgun after car stopped in Gravesend

Two men have been charged with possessing a handgun after officers pulled over a car in Gravesend.

Police were patrolling the King's Farm area of the town when they stopped the car at about 12pm on Wednesday 26 October 2016.

A handgun was found in the boot.

Rowland Olorunda, 30, of York Road, Gravesend, and Syldi Harding, 25, of Beaconfield Parade in Eltham, London, appeared before Medway magistrates yesterday.

Olorunda has been released on bail, and Harding has been remanded.

Both will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
