Money launderer Uyi Egiebor from Northfleet goes missing

Police have appealed for information after a man convicted of laundering £1.1m failed to show up at court for sentencing.

Uyi Egiebor, formerly of Black Eagle Drive, Northfleet, was due at Maidstone Crown Court today (Monday) after he was convicted of laundering the money between January 1, 2012, and September 5, 2012.

The 31-year-old did not appear at court and was sentenced to seven years in jail in his absence. Officers are searching for him.
