KM Group celebrates the work of Kent Air Ambulance

A woman who had a heart attack while at work at a supermarket has died.

Staff at Morrisons in Coldharbour Road, Gravesend, performed CPR on the 65-year-old in the three minutes it took for paramedics to arrive on Monday, March 5.

She was also shocked using a defibrillator before being taken by Kent Air Ambulance to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford after the incident at about 2.25pm.

A Morrisons spokeswoman said: "We are proud that our colleagues showed the quick thinking and skills necessary to issue primary care while waiting for the ambulance and are deeply saddened that she has since passed away. Our sympathy goes out to her family and friends at this sad time."
