Drivers are experiencing heavy delays following a multi-car crash on the A2 this morning.

Police say five cars crashed on the coastbound carriageway between Northfleet and Gravesend at around 8.40am.

Three lanes were closed while emergency services attended but all were re-opened by 9.51am.

Drivers are still experiencing long delays but Highways England predict normal traffic conditions will resume by midday.

South East Coast Ambulance Service were also called, but police say there are no reports of any serious injuries.
