Rail services are now back to normal after emergency engineering work caused widespread disruption this morning.

Trains between Dartford, Gravesend and the Medway Towns were cancelled due to the works between Swanscombe and Northfleet.

Replacement buses were operating between these stations, extending journey times by around 20 minutes.

Normal service had resumed by 10am.
