Lee Sales from Sheerness and Sarah Dove from Deal both charged after failing to stop for police in Northfleet

A man and woman have been arrested and charged after a car reportedly failed to stop for police in Northfleet.

Officers tactically stopped the vehicle in Thames Way at about 3am on Saturday .

Lee Sales, 31, of Leicester Gardens, Sheerness, has since been charged with dangerous driving, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a knife, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

The offensive weapon in question was a knuckleduster and he has been remanded in custody to appear before Medway magistrates on tomorrow .

Sarah Dove, 30, of Stockdale Gardens, Deal, has been charged with creating a danger to road users by causing glass bottles to be on the carriageway.

She has been bailed to appear before Medway magistrates on Tuesday July 19.
