The latest instalment of the Jason Bourne saga, directed by Kent's Paul Greengrass, made its highly anticipated return to the big screen today.

The former Gravesend Grammar School student directed, produced and wrote the fifth film in the spy thriller series - simply named Jason Bourne after the titular character played by Matt Damon.

The star actor and director were reunited for the first time in nine years for this newest release which is expected to be one if the year's biggest blockbusters.

Set several years after his disappearance at the conclusion of 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum, Jason Bourne sees the agent resurface for a mission to uncover the truth about his past.

It’s hoped that the director himself will be able to pay a visit to The Paul Greengrass Cinema which opened in his name in Gravesend in 2013.

The team at The Woodville are also working hard to have the film ready to be screened there at the start of September.
