Kent Police appeal after young man reportedly assault in The Grove, Gravesend, trying to stop a fight

A peacemaker trying to stop a fight suffered a broken nose and fractured cheekbone after being set on himself, it has been reported.

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses, following the alleged assault in The Grove, Gravesend.

It was reported that the victim – a man in his 20s – had attempted to break up a fight when he was punched more than once by an unknown person.

The incident took place near the junction with Saddington Street, between 4.20am and 4.30am on Sunday, May 15, 2016.

He also suffered bleeding behind his eye, and may require further surgery.
