Police say missing Gravesend pensioner Victor Chambers, has been found

Police say they have located a missing pensioner who had not been seen since yesterday morning.

Victor Chambers, 71, left his home in Gravesend at about 7.20am and was last seen in the Windmill Street area of town.

Officer were appealing for information to help find Mr Chambers.

The police helicopter had been out looking for Mr Chambers

Yesterday afternoon the emergency services, with the help of a police helicopter carried out searches near the promenade area of the River Thames near Town Pier in the hope of locating him

Officers were assisted by specialist search teams from Kent Fire and Rescue who had parked their vehicles near the Three Daws pub.

This morning police spokesman Amanda Wills said Mr Chambers had been found safe and well.
