A CHARITY for people with learning disabilities is holding a photo competition and cultural diversity day.

Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley (DGS) Mencap is challenging everyone with a learning disability in north Kent to get behind the camera and enter Picture This.

Entrants have until Wednesday, April 30, to submit up to three pictures of people, places, or nature for a chance to win a mystery prize.

onto a disc and sent to DGS Mencap, 53 Highfield Road, Dartford, Kent, DA1 2JS.

The charity is also staging a day of Bollywood, African and English dancing, and varied arts and crafts to celebrate north Kent’s cultural diversity.

The event takes place at Peppercorns, in Orchard Street, Dartford, from 10.30am to 3.30pm on Friday, March 20.

Charity members will also have to get used to a new name, alongside their competition and entertainment commitments.

DGS Mencap will, as of April 1, be changing its name to DGSM yourChoice following a re-branding exercise.
