Police called to Napier Road, Northfleet, after man found with head injury

A man has been taken to hospital after being found injured in Napier Road, Northfleet this morning.

Police were called to reports of a man found with a head injury just before 8.30am, and officers remain at the scene conducting enquiries to establish how the man came to be injured.

Ambulance crews also attended and the man was taken to a London hospital for treatment.

Steven Mclaren, who lives in nearby Thanet House, had watched events unfold this morning.

"The police helicopter landed on a bit of waste ground near us," he said. "It woke me up at about 8.30/9am.

"The car park is all taped off.

"They've picked up clothing and put it in forensic bags - it was against a brick wall."
