Police called to St George's Church of England School in Gravesend after travellers broke into their site

Police was called to a school after travellers broke into their grounds and set up camp.

Officers attended the scene at St George’s Church of England School, Meadow Road, Gravesend, at 9.00pm on Monday, May 28.

A gate and is reported to have been damaged.

Police was called to a school after travellers broke into their grounds and set up camp.

On the morning of Tuesday, May 29, officers enforced an eviction notice and the site has since been vacated, with the exception of one caravan which is waiting to be towed.

No offenders have been identified for the reports of criminal damage.
