Helicopter lands on ship near Gravesend as part of exercise drill

A police drill involving a helicopter has taken place on the Thames.

Onlookers saw officers from the Metropolitan Police descend down a rope onto a stationed ship.

The exercise happened at around 3pm yesterday at the Tilbury power station but could be seen from the Gravesend pier.

A spokesman for Met Police said: "There are regular exercise on the Thames, including one yesterday."
