Golden envelopes given out to first 100 customers at the re-opening of Aldi in Gravesend

Golden envelopes were given out to the first 100 customers at the re-opening of Aldi in Gravesend.

Customer Mary Heard won a 40 inch HD tv, other prizes included portable DVD player and money off vouchers at the London Road store.

There was a queue of 75 waiting outside the shop before it officially opened on Thursday.

The store was officially re-opened by the Mayor of Gravesham, Derek Sales.

Store manager Vinny Veeren said: “There was a great atmosphere at the store and it was great to see so many people turn out for our store’s re-opening event.

“The team and I were pleased to introduce shoppers to the new layout of the store, as the extension has been carried out to meet customer demand.”
