A car has flipped onto its roof near Ebbsfleet Football Ground causing a large amount of traffic.

The incident is thought to have happened at around 10am this morning, near the roadworks area on A226 Stonebridge Road, Eagle Way.

The road is blocked in both directions and there is slow moving traffic and motorists should expect delays.

Arriva recently tweeted: "Due to a serious traffic incident at Ebbsfleet football ground, the 490 service and Fastrack B services are on diversion and will use the A2 in both directions to bypass the incident.

"As a result all bus stops between Thames way at Aldi and Greenhithe McDonalds are unfortunately not being served at the moment. Services will resume to normal as soon as possible."
