Roadworks at Lion Roundabout, Gravesend, causing delays

Roadworks are causing delays and heavy congestion at a roundabout.

Works to modernise the Lion Roundabout, in Gravesend, at the Rochester Road junction have caused problems for commuters.

There is currently traffic light control and Lower Higham Road has been closed completely.

This has resulted in the main roads and side roads becoming heavily congested and some buses are affected.

A spokesman for Arriva Kent said: "Due to five way temporary lights at the Lion roundabout in Chalk we are expecting delays to our 480, 490 and 481 services."
