Police hunt robber who raided shop in Gravesend

Police are hunting a robber who raided a shop armed with a plank of wood.

The suspect walked into CJC Convenience Store in Norfolk Road, Gravesend and waved around the wood while making threats to two men behind the counter.

He was in the shop for around 15 seconds before one of the victims chased him out onto the street and in the direction of Ordnance Road.

The suspect then ran down either Brunswick Walk or Augustine Road. Nothing was reported stolen.

Officers believe the man approached the shop from the direction of Albion Terrace and loitered outside for a short while before entering.

They have released CCTV images of the robbery, which happened between 10.20pm and 10.30pm last Wednesday.
