Rocks thrown at cars near Bluewater

Several motorists were forced to pull over after rocks were thrown at their cars near Bluewater today.

One driver on his way to the shopping centre reported damage to his car including dented body panels cused by 'objects thrown from the woods' at the side of the A2.

He said three other drivers had also been forced to pull over due to damage to their cars.

Kent Police has confirmed a number of reports in relation to the attacks just after 11am.

A spokesman said: "We received the first of a number of reports of rocks being thrown at vehicles on the A2 coastbound at Bean.

"The rocks were reported to have been thrown from the side of the carriageway."

No-one was injured but several cars were damaged.

Police searched the area but did not find the culprits.
