Officers are appealing for witnesses after a second woman was reportedly robbed of her necklace in Gravesend.

A robbery was reported to have occurred between 1.10pm and 1.33pm on Monday, June 27, in Terrace Street, Gravesend.

Two young men are believed to have run up to a 72-year-old woman and grabbed two gold necklaces from her neck before running away.

Police are appealing for information.

The gold necklaces were distinctive with one necklace having a Pisces sign and a trawler charm on it, and the other having a trawler with a locket and another Pisces sign charm.

They are said to be worth around £1,000. The woman was not injured but was left with red marks to her neck.

Both suspects are described as between 20 and 22 years old, of slim build, Middle Eastern appearance and around 5ft 8ins.

One man was described as wearing a baseball cap and the other wearing a pink polo shirt, jeans and a baseball cap.

Officers are not ruling out the possibility of this incident being linked to another robbery which reportedly occurred in Berkley Road, Gravesend, on Sunday, June 26.

It is reported that a 60-year-old woman was walking along the road at around 1.55pm when a man approached her from behind, pulled her necklace from her neck and ran away in the direction of Bernard Street.

The victim was not injured in the incident. Her necklace was gold and said to be worth around £175.

The man was described as wearing a grey tracksuit with the hood up, having a foreign accent, around 5ft 5ins tall and of slim build.

Anyone with information about either incident can call 101 quoting XY/24697/16.
