Teen taken to hospital after car crashes into wooden pole in Meopham

A teeanger has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after crashing her car in to a wooden mast.

The crash happened at 11.45pm yesterday when the 18-year-old hit a power line in Wrotham Road, Meopham.

She was trapped in her vehicle for an hour until Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews could safely remove her using hydraulic cutting equipment.

She was taken to Kings College Hospital in London by ambulance with a leg injury.

She remained conscious throughout the incident.
