Speeding motorist clocked doing more than 120mph on the A2 near Gravesend

A driver has been caught doing more than 120mph on a busy stretch of dual carriageway.

The incident happened on the A2 near Gravesend shortly before 11pm last night.

The speeding motorist was clocked by officers in an unmarked vehicle travelling at a speed of 125 mph in a 70mph zone.

After being stopped by police, officers say the driver claimed he was "being chased".

The driver, a man in his 20s from London, was issued with a traffic offence report.
