Stabbing rumours after police called to street

A man was taken to hospital with hand injuries after an incident in Northfleet.

Police were called to Wallis Park estate in Northfleet on Sunday at 12.45pm.

A man has been arrested and bailed in relation to the incident while a 19-year-old man was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

Rumours were rife today that a man had been stabbed.

One person, who did not want to be named, said: "I've never seen so many police. It was shocking. There was a lot of blood."

A police spokesman said that investigations were ongoing.
