A fire in a first-floor flat last night is believed to have been started by sunlight reflecting off an object in the home.

Crews in two engines were called to Cobham Street in Gravesend after the alarm was raised at about 7.15pm.

Fire crews were called to the scene and spent 90 minutes tackling the flames. Stock pic.

There were no reported injuries.
