Relegation looms for Gravesend Rugby Club despite a 20-18 victory at Westcliff on Saturday.

They are four points adrift of safety with a game to play in National 3 London & South East after drop rivals Tring produced a shock victory over Dorking.

All Gs can do is claim a bonus-point victory at home to Thurrock this weekend and hope Tring lose to already-relegated Westcliff.

Jamie Forsyth’s try, converted by Dave Dorton, helped Gs lead 10-7 at half-time.

The Forsyth-Dorton combination paid off again with another converted try during the second half.

Dorton clinched victory with a late penalty for third-bottom Gravesend.
