Ashford teenager Andon-Lei Covey charged with Gravesend burglaries

A teenager has been charged by detectives investigating two burglaries on the same Gravesend road.

Officers received reports of break ins in Meadow Road on August 8.

On both occasions the offender was interrupted by the victims and left empty handed.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court

Following inquires, officers identified Andon-Lei Covey as a suspect and he was arrested on Wednesday, October 3.

The 18-year-old, of Lynsted Close, Ashford, was later charged with two counts of burglary and appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday where he was remanded in custody to next appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday, November 1.
