The view across the River Thames will once again change next week when the tenth demolition takes place at the former Tilbury Power Station.

At approximately 9am on Friday, March 16, the two bunkers and the associated conveyor transfer tower will be blown up.

The bunker structures are predominantly constructed of steel and are approximately 60m high, 100m long and 20m wide. The attached tower is approximately 12m high, 25m long and 12m wide.

An exclusion zone within the power station site will be in place but there will be no impact to the public.

It is considered a low impact demolition, although a loud boom will be heard from the Gravesend side of the river.

The most dramatic demolition to date came back in September when the plant's two 170m tall towers came crashing down in the seventh explosion.

The other main structures, including the boiler houses, are scheduled for demolition throughout the year and into 2019.
