A popular indie band will perform chart-topping hits at the 10th anniversary of a popular village fete.

The Hoosiers, best known for their singles Goodbye Mr A and Worried About Ray, are set to take Stone by storm this summer.

Other acts appearing at the highly-anticipated event include Maidstone-based group, The Soundcasters, and tributes to both Queen and UB40.

The annual village get-together, organised by Stone Parish Council, is set to be bigger than ever this year, to celebrate the 10th birthday of the parish's biggest community event.

Past acts include popular nineties boy band 5ive, and S Club Party, featuring former S Club 7 members Jo, Bradley and Tina.

Cllr Jonathan Hawkes (Lab), who represents Stone said: "I think it's great that the Hoosiers will be appearing at Stone Fete this summer.

"I congratulate Stone Parish Council, as they always put on a very good event.

"It's a great community event, and this will draw in more people than ever before.

"I'll be there, and I'm looking forward to seeing as many residents as possible.

"You might even see me dancing, but I won't make any promises."
