Arriva bus driver based at Northfleet depot dies from Covid-19

Tributes have been paid to a bus driver who lost his battle against Covid-19.

Patrick Butcher, 58, who worked at the Northfleet depot for almost five years, passed away last week.

Arriva general manager Raza Jawaid said: "Our thoughts and prayers are with Patrick's family and friends at this terrible time.

"Patrick worked for Arriva for four years and eight months.

"He will be deeply missed by all who knew and worked with him at our Northfleet depot.

"We are a very close team and the loss of Patrick has impacted us all."

Patrick's family were contacted but asked for their privacy to be respected during this tough time.
