Toddler hit by car in Perry Street, Gravesend, this afternoon

A toddler has been injured in a traffic accident.

The 3-year-old boy is suffering from a suspected broken leg after an accident involving a car in Perry Street, Gravesend.

Two ambulance crews were at the scene, from 2.40pm, and the youngster was taken to Medway Martime Hospital.

He was fully conscious and his injuries are not believed to be serious.

The car was believed to be travelling at a relatively low speed, at around 15mph, when it collided with the boy.

Police were also at the scene and managed the traffic while ambulance crew tended to the toddler.

They have now left Perry Street and the road is clear.
