A man was allegedly dragged off a bus and assaulted during a kidnap ordeal, a court has heard.

Joshua Hislop was alone on the lower deck coming back from Bluewater when a car, allegedly driven by Ricky Wilton, pulled across its path on May 8.

Wilton, of Gwynn Road, Northfleet, is accused of pulling Mr Hislop off the bus and bundling him into the back of his vehicle. Mr Hislop was dumped outside his grandmother’s house a short while later.

At a hearing last week at Woolwich Crown Court Wilton denied kidnap and grievous bodily harm. The nature of Mr Hislop’s injuries were not revealed during the brief hearing on Wednesday.

Elsa Simpson, 18, and Stella Coffee, 44, both of Fleet Terrace, Northfleet, are charged with kidnap and assault respectively following the incident in May. Both deny the charges. All three will stand trial in February.
