Robert Powsey and Duncan Snape due in court over armed robberies in Gravesend and New Ash Green

Two men arrested and charged in connection with three armed robberies at newsagents in Gravesend and New Ash Green will appear in court on Friday.

Robert Powsey, 41, of Peacock Rise, Chatham, and Duncan Snape, also 41, of Chapel Yard, London, are accused of eight counts of robbery stretching back to March of last year.

Two charges relate to robberies at McColl's newsagents in Leander Drive, Gravesend, on March 3 and 31.

Another robbery took place at Martin's newsagents in The Row, New Ash Green, on December 12 last year.

The pair, who have been remanded in custody, are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court.
