Fire crews said initial reports suggested multiple vehicles were involved but on arrival found two vehicles, a Mercedes and a Suzuki Vitara, had crashed.

The driver of the Vitara had left the scene. Two women in the Mercedes were taken to hospital with neck injuries.

Officers from Kent Police’s Roads Policing Unit deployed a drone to assist with the search for the driver who had left the scene prior to their arrival.
