Emergency services in attendance after car overturns on A2 between Cobham and Gravesend

Traffic was at gridlock along the A2 following an accident involving an overturned vehicle.

The incident took place shortly before 8.30am at the Marling Cross interchange, near Gravesend.

Traffic is queuing along the A2 westbound carriageway

One ambulance crew attended the scene and one person, who is not thought to have suffered serious injuries, was assessed and treated before being taken to Darent Valley Hospital.

Highways England were also in attendance and lane closures put in place.

All lanes are now open along the westbound carriageway between Cobham and Gravesend.
