North Kent's virtual court systems crashed yesterday morning leaving many cases needing to be rescheduled.

Cases were either heard at other locations such as Medway Magistrates' or Dartford Magistrates' court or did not go ahead.

It was still not working by close of play today (Tuesday, July 5).

The virtual court links Medway Magistrates' Court with North Kent police station in Gravesham. It is meant to speed up the time between arrest and punishment.
