We’re all having fun down on Harvel House Farm to raise money for EllenorLions Hospices

Published: 15:00, 14 April 2014

Callie, three.

Harvel House Farm opened its doors on Saturday to raise money for EllenorLions Hospices.

Over 1,000 visitors were able to meet farmers who were around to show the animals, including newborn lambs, to the delight of youngsters.

There were tractor, horse and cart rides, a lamb naming competition, crafts, a raffle, face painting and lots of other activities to keep children entertained.

Ellie, seven, Millie, four, and Thomas, six.

A barbecue kept mouths watering as the smells filled the air and mums and dads were able to take some home with them as the Harvel Farm Shop was open selling meats and other springtime gifts.

EllenorLions Hospices events manager Emma Whittington said: “We are very grateful to Harvel House Farm for once again allowing us to use their wonderful farm and for being so supportive.

“It was a marvellous opportunity to visit a working farm, whilst raising vital funds. All money raised will provide care and support to seriously ill children, young people and adults in the local community”.

Olivia, eight, and Billy Jones, six.
