Jade Irving charged with assaulting a police officer at Three Daws pub in Gravesend

A woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer following a disturbance at a riverside pub.

Jade Irving, 21, was arrested on Friday outside the Three Daws pub in Town Pier, Gravesend.

Officers were called at 6.25pm to a report of a disturbance where it was alleged a customer had verbally abused a member of staff and threatened to cause criminal damage.

While officers were carrying out inquiries at the location, they were made aware of a separate disturbance involving a number of different people in the car park.

After intervening, Irving, of St Hilda's Way, Gravesend, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting two police officers.

Irving was later charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer.

She has been bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, May 21.
