Trains delayed after woman falls on tracks at Gravesend railway station

Trains are being delayed after a woman has fallen onto the railway line.

No services are running between Dartford, Gravesend or Strood, following the incident at Gravesend.

A person fell onto the line in Gravesend

British Transport Police confirmed it happened at around 3.25pm.

A spokesman said: "Paramedics also attended and a woman has been taken to hospital for assessment.

"This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.”

Passengers were told to expect disruption.

Southeastern tweeted: "All lines are currently blocked through Gravesend while the emergency services attend to an incident at the station."

The company also told customers they can use their tickets with no extra charge on Arriva Fastrack buses between Dartford, Ebbsfleet and Gravesend.
